(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Follow up information just released by opposition sources regarding a huge car bomb attack that took place in the southwestern Syrian province of Daraa on Monday reveals that a top regional commander for the Al-Qaeda affiliate group Ha’yat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra) has been killed in the blast.
According to the latest reports, at least ten Syrian militants have been killed and another 20 wounded as a result of the bombing.
However among the dead is a very high-ranking rebel leader, one Abu Hamza Ghadiyah, a Jordanian national who was (until his very recent departure) Ha’yat Tahrir al-Sham’s commander for all of southern Syria; four of his personal bodyguards were also killed in the attack.
